Our Christmas

Calder woke up slowly Christmas morning. We went into his room and told him we heard jingle bells last night and that Santa had come. He was hesitant to come out and explore and just wanted to hug and cuddle. We told him to just come out went he was ready and every time we saw him peek out he'd hurry back into his blankets. I went in to have a heart to heart with him and he said, "I'm just a little nervous that Santa forgot my blue dolphin pillow pet." Melted our hearts that he was so concerned and with a big hug and a cuddle while carrying him out to his pile he quickly warmed up after comparing the pillow pet he had seen online to the one he was holding in his arms. He was all smiles that Santa had got it right in the toy shop and the coveted Blue Dolphin had arrived!

I really wanted a white Christmas this year (as always) so Mikey came up with this hilarious idea. He gave me glasses that were sprayed with snow... love my funny man!

We had a classic Calder moment as he was opening his stocking... Calder stops cold, puts one finger in the air and says "Santa forgot One Thing!! He forgot the candies from the George house we saw in the store."
A few days before Christmas we were at the grocery store and Calder spotted the Nips carmel candies he loves to devour at the St. George house. I told him if he really wanted them that he'd have to put it on his wish list and tell Santa. So right there in the store Calder looks up into the sky and whispers to Santa what he wanted to add to his wish list.
Luckily Santa heard and put them at the bottom of his stocking... once Calder finally found them there his Christmas was complete
The other big Wish List item was a motorized train to go around the Christmas Tree...Calder jumps up and down with excitement as he pushes all the bells and buttons to make it go forward, backward and sings jingle bells and Santa Claus is coming to Town
From Mommy and Daddy his Big gift and Surprise was giving him his New Big Boy BLUE room. He's in heaven having his most cherished color surrounding him and jumping on his big bed.
Huge Thank You to my dad for delivering the bed and completing the surprise on Christmas Eve and Brady Saved our Christmas Twice this year. He made this bed usable and possible as well as finding batteries for us at midnight Christmas Eve... Thank You over and over for being so willing and helpful no matter the hour.

Our attempt to get a family shot by the Christmas Tree this year...
At least he lets us capture these candid memories
