Thankful for Unusual Experiences

We have had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We headed down to St. George to spend a few days with Ashly's family and Grandma. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious as usual - nothing out of the ordinary to report. There were a few experiences out-of-the-ordinary which made the weekend memorable.

Friday we slipped to Vegas for some shopping and a show. We saw David Copperfield - which was great because both of us got to go on stage and help Mr. Copperfield with one of his magic tricks.

David transported himself through a solid sheet of steel - we were the ones who verified the authenticity of the steel and the trick.

Saturday we spent an entire morning playing tennis.

The weather in St. George was perfect. The whole Tolbert clan played - even Grandma T. It was a nice change after the relentless shopping and crowds the day before. It made us wonder why we haven't played tennis much this past year.

One of the most unusual experiences of the weekend was an early Friday morning flight over St. George and Lake Powell. A long time friend of the Tolbert's lives in St. George and has taken up flying in the past few years. On Friday morning Jeff, Richard, and Mikey went out flying:
