Happy 2's Calder... he was the Fire Truck chief for the day

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY SWEET CALDER BOY

we LOVE you

The day started with jumping up and down in the crib like his usual wild self and then he saw the Fire Truck balloons and presents and had to get out and run to them.

Because this kid has NO FEAR we knew he'd love the biggest slide you can find and headed up to the alpine slide. He LOVED it... every part of it. The ride up and watching the "blue red and yellow scooters" fly by and spotting little hedgehogs and squirrels underneath him.

When we were waiting for our cue to go. Calder decided he didn't want to wait for the ok to go and so he started counting.... "1..2..3...wheee" He was soo excited and the second we got to the bottom he asked for "MORE scooter slide."

That night we had a family FIRE TRUCK party. We went to the Parleys Way station and got the full tour and they let the kids climb all over the trucks and Calder got to drive. They even announced his birthday over the dispatch.
Calder was in Birthday Heaven

Calder had been singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALDER" to himself for a week or so before his birthday so when it came time to blow out the candles he couldn't have been more excited. We sang and he blew out the candles and then as soon as he got them out he said, " MORE... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CALDER"... everyone was laughing and couldn't help but join in and sing again... and again!

Mikey and I spend all of Calder's nap creating the perfect Fire Truck Cake for our studly 2 year old Birthday boy. This pic is us being so proud of our creation (as you can see Calder was ready to move on to presents.)

THANK YOU everyone for such a perfect birthday celebration! You completely spoiled Calder with your gifts and LOVE.

The finale of the party was this birthday gift from Gramps and Bebe. He was so excited about being on his very own tractor. Sky even gave him John Deer cowboy boots to match.... what a dreamy day for our little man.

If it's possible, this kid just gets cuter and cuter. What a darling birthday party, too.
